You Know...

most days pass by in a blur.
Life can be so busy that it's hard to catch your breath and truly reflect on the blessings that surround you.
 And there are many.

Guys and Dolls

My kids are so talented! Their school's spring musical was Guys and Dolls this year.
Emily was the tour guide in the opening scene.
 Seth was Benny Southstreet.
As a seventh grader, he has never sung a solo before (in public, that is! At home he's been singing since he was born!)
He was incredible! A total natural!
Megan was cast as Miss Adelaide.
Everyone who doesn't know her wanted to know if she really has a New York accent. Nope! She's just that good!
 She was
AH-MAZ-ING!!
Emily also got to be an audience member, and later, a Havana dancer. That girl can move! :)
 Seth singing another solo! Wow!
Megan getting ready to smack him with the newspaper.
Emily's main role: General Cartwright. She was great!
The show was a complete success! My kids are all totally blessed to feel comfortable onstage and are amazing actors. They LOVE doing this and I LOVE watching them!!

My Birthday Boys

Yesterday Josiah turned 2 and today Seth turns 13. Born one day shy of exactly 11 years apart and yet more like twins than just brothers.
They share a special bond that makes my heart happy. Seth has tucked Sy under his wing. And Sy thinks of Seth as his hero.
We celebrated their birthdays together last night and had a motocross birthday cake.
Sy loved his birthday present, a PW50.
Which allows him to be just like his big brother.
Who is an amazing guy! I love him so. I wish him a lifetime of happiness!
And also to you, mini monster man. May you grow to become everything God wants you to be.

Happy Birthday, my sons! I hope you both know how much you mean to me.

6 Months

Annie-banany is 6 months old today.
 I can't believe it!
She is so sweet and beautiful.
And growing up so quickly!

But don't let that sweet smile fool you!
When she's done, she's done!
"I'm outta here, Mom!"

Moving Out Of Survival Mode

I'm sorry for my absence! My kids have been suuuuuper sick. Like possible whooping cough sick. We'll never know if that's what they have for sure because the doctors didn't want to test! But whether they have whooping cough or a virus that has the same symptoms, we have been living in survival mode for weeks now.
Survival mode means:
1. The house has been a wreck.
2. We have been confined to the house.
3. Meals have consisted of:
A. Foods that are quick to make,
B. Foods that sound good to the sickies, and
C. Foods that are easy to clean-up after a severe coughing fit bring them back up.
*groan.....*

Our kids have never been this sick! It's been miserable, (I'll spare you any pictures) but I think we are finally starting the long climb back to healthy. Praise God!

So Anna and I finally left the house yesterday to go to Seth's baseball game!
He was awesome!! And it was so nice to be able to be there to watch him play again!
